Q: Recently the DPRK military said it would complete a plan to strike the sea around Guam by mid-August. Following that, the US said if the DPRK does anything against or attack its allies or the US itself, things will happen to the DPRK like it never thought possible. What is China's comment on the continuously escalating rhetoric between the DPRK and the United States?
答：当前朝鲜半岛局势复杂敏感。中方希望有关各方谨言慎行，多做有助于缓解紧张局势、增进各方互信的事，而不要走彼此轮番示强，局势不断升级的老路。
A: At present, the situation on the Korean Peninsula remains highly complex and sensitive. The Chinese side hopes all relevant parties to speak and act with caution and do more things that are conducive to deescalating the tense situation and enhancing mutual trust among parties, rather than relapse into the old path of showing assertiveness and escalating tensions.
